I "tidied" my freezer for xmas and as usual it beeped a warning when the door is open for longer than a few seconds. However door has been closed for an hour and it is still beeping. Have tried turning it on and off at the mains to no avail. There is nothing in the instruction manual about the beeping. Anyone had this or know if there is a solution other than defrosting it - which would not be ideal with a freezer full of food for xmas! Thank you

Is the sound a warning that it's still above the usual (safe) temperature? I'd leave it for a bit and don't turn it off and on.

I guess it is but I have had the door open for a similar length of time many times before and it has always stopped beeping when closed

Does it have a 'super' button? (or fast freeze or similar). Mine isn't a Beko, but if it's got too warm I have to press that to stop the beep.

Is there a small reset button anywhere? Mine (not a beko) is middle top of the door frame with a ! Symbol above it.

Thanks. We have fast freeze button and have tried that for an hour now without success. We cant see a reset and there is nothing in the instruction manual about the beep or reset.

This might sound daft, but if it's very full, is there something preventing the door seal from engaging all the way round? Have you tried slamming the door shut hard?

kitchensrus · 22/12/2021 23:31

No not full thanks. hoping it lasts the night and we can ring beko for a solution. if we can sleep through the beeping!

This might sound like I'm joking, but have you tried switching it off at the wall and then switching it back on again?

Thanks yes my first post said i had tried turning it on and off at the mains.

We have spoken to Beko and they said ensure nothing is touching the internal back walls of the freezer and clean all seals with hot cloth to re expand the seals. We have done both and the beeping has finally stopped after 12 hours.
