How cheap can you get a new boiler for (and installed)?
How much did you pay for your boiller?
(looking at combi gas)

Ours isn't a combi but we paid £3000 for a VIessmann boiler and installation.

Viessmann and Worcester Bosch get the best reviews by Which?

Try a company called Boxt they give quotes online book appointments and turn up when they say have good ratings from thousands of people on trustpilot and have good prices
It depends on size of your home the number of radiators and if the new boiler can go in same place or if new pipework or electrics are needed

£2200 here, included having a new flue installed. alpha boiler,
(bit of a mistake because its really noisy )

We got a new Vaillant boiler (conventional, not combi) and it was around £2600.

2100 for a Worcester Bosch fully installed plus £1000 for all new radiators and installations as old ones were over 30 yrs old and were full of rust and sludge. If you have old radiators then at the very least you should ask about adding on a power flush to the quote and installation process, otherwise you risk circulating a load of rust through your new boiler and breaking it.

Not sure of the up to date price, but if you can afford more go for a decent brand like Worcester Bosh - and I think Valliant are well recommended. We had an ideal boiler installed in our old house, broke down ten times in ten years, the final time engineer couldn't work out why and Ideal said it was too hold to do a premium rate call out. Had Worcester Bosch installed - no problems in the three years we used it for before moving. Have been in our present house seven years and never had a problem with our current Worcester Bosch.

My Ideal boiler was over 20 years old when we replaced it this year. It still worked but was inefficient and would be hard to get parts for if it did break down. We never had any issues with it at all.

Has anyone used those boiler grants that i've seen advertised for low income people?
