Recovering from c section

So theres a lot of unknown with c sec recovery. Feel like some days i almost forget, im now 4 weeks post partum and stitches feel really tight and still a bit weird. I also have super dry flaky skin on the lump of tummy above my scar, is that normal? Doesn't matter how much moisturiser i use it always returns. It just looks bizarre!! I cant wait to pick up my 2 year old, but she is a real chunky monkey and im quite scared to do it until 6 weeeks as i dread the thought of having to wait longer if it affects my recovery. Anyone else with this experience?

I realise this is a very old post but it looks like we both had a section at around the same time. I hope you’re all doing well now. I just wanted to ask do you still have any numbness around your scar?

Yeah I still have some thickening and shoes that kids are used to.
All around my scar is some numbing, weird sensation! Do you have that too? I do have quite a lot of take that 😂
