Oh no, how to stop a cold

I can feel it coming. Pretty sure it’s not COVID. We’ve been testing plus the cold is doing the rounds at work. Can’t be 100% sure though so I just have to hope it’s a cold and someone can suggest something to help or even just stop it for a few days?

I’ve shoved vic first defence up my nose and have drunk a berocca.

This works for me at the first sign of a cold:

2 x antihistamine tablets (cetirizine or loratadine)
2 x paracetamol
Stir fried mushrooms with fresh ginger, chilli and garlic
Hot toddy of brandy, honey & lemon.
Go to bed and sleep it off.

The last time I had a full blown cold was 2008, hope you feel better soon 🤧

Eccinachea tablets, vitamin C, vitamin D, a hot toddy, 2 paracetamol and get to bed with loads of layers/covers on to sweat it out.

Same thought! I really want a spicy gingery stir fry now.

Ha thanks Xmas Grin The stir fry is very effective - I put half a bulb of garlic in which repels viruses, mosquitoes and burglars Xmas Shock

Vicks First Defence - spray in your nose 4x a day as soon as you get the tickling cold developing feeling there.

Flu Bomb Recipe:

1 Whole Lemon
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
1 Minced Clove of Garlic
2 tsp Honey
1 tsp Grated Ginger
1/2 tsp Tumeric Powder
1 cup Echinacea Tea

Brew one cup of echinacea tea. Squeeze the lemon juice into cup. (I often use bottled lemon juice - about a tbsp). Add all the remaining ingredients above. Stir well, then drink. Tastes fairly foul - mostly seems to work.

Seconding First Defence, as it were Grin. It's the only thing that works for me.
