Whats the crawling in my eyes

Hi

For the past few days I have felt a crawling sensation in my eyes. Its not constant but happens a few times an hour. Both when eyes are open and closed. It feels like something is moving on my eyeballs and it pretty unpleasant. I'm not googling this because I'm pretty sure il come across monsters inside me type stuff and my rational brain knows its not actually bugs but il freak out seeing such stuff. Eyes look normal and clear when I look.

Has anyone had this before and know what it could be?

@Swirlywoo yes could be, I have never had allergies before. My eyes don't look red or anything.

I also googled it for you and my objective opinion is it is highly unlikely to be those eye mites which look v uncommon. Also looks like you'd be able to see them.

I get all sorts of eye stuff going on due to allergies, and also occasional twitches when I am tired or stress, lashes getting stuck etc. Try dry eye drops, and allergy drops (separately, they are two different things) and see if they make a difference. If not I'd ask a GP.
