With a Covid positve 7yo DD and severely autistic 10yo DS.

What can I take them to make it all a little less unbearable?

It sounds like DD isn't too unwell.

Colouring book/sticker book and packets of bubbles for dd (and ds?)

Balloons if ds can cope with them

Chocolates for friend (and kids) and a promise to phone/text a couple of times a day. And to be there, if she wants to text or phone you at any time. Even if just to let off steam.

Shopping especially when all Xmas slots will likely be gone. Treat stuff for herself and the kids. Promise to video certain points in the day so she can have an adult conversation.

Wine. Lots of it.

Yes, wine was my first thought, then I remembered she doesn't drink!

Also treats, I think she avoids a lot of them for DS

Practical things like calpol, o2 monitor maybe?

If shopping for her, you could also add in some microwavable spag bol etc just in case she needs something quick and easy to cook one day
