I have 'donated' an hour of my time to talk to a lonely person. However, I thought I would somehow be matched with a lonely person, but it seems I have to find one myself. I'm not sure how to do this.

I would like to spend time talking to someone who is on their own at Christmas. Especially an elderly person. When I was young, my gran was involved in a charity for elderly folk and I loved hearing their stories, etc.

Has anybody else signed up for this?

I know this is an old question, but I recently posted a similar thing about this campaign and how to tap into the volunteer network. My mum would benefit from a visit once a week for a natter - I know millions donate time but there is no info anywhere on how to access the volunteers 🤷🏼‍♀️
