A gift for someone who loves the moon

Hello
I'm looking for a gift for someone who loves the moon.
I've seen a few things such as a moon mystery box (no idea what's in it but apparently moon related). A moon embroidery kit.
Moonstone. Moon calendars.

Any other ideas? I'm not sure what to get.
Thank you in advance 🙂 🌙

I wouldn’t buy a mystery box, but any of the other items.

Hydrate · 20/12/2021 06:06

Moon lamp.

MoonGift · 20/12/2021 06:17

@Marcipex

Yes it's hard to know what could be in there. There's nothing mentioned in reviews. I imagine maybe some moon crystals as they seem to sell a lot of crystals at that particular shop.

@Hydrate
I did consider a moon lamp. I'm looking at a couple of them. Seem to be a lot of mixed reviews about the quality etc.

Yasmin bolands 2022 moon diary, a moon journal, moon oracle cards, phases of the moon artwork, a book about moon energy/moon signs, moon stone jewellery. I LOVE the moon 🌙

Moon gazing hare?

chiefcha · 20/12/2021 06:23

We have a moon phase clock, it's lovely

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 20/12/2021 06:28

There are some beautiful art prints on a website called Yarm Originals of hares gazing at the moon, I treated myself to a few to go with the Original painting my father in law bought me from there a few years back, they are quite beautiful!

Roselilly36 · 20/12/2021 06:32

I purchased a moon phrase pendant with the phrase of the moon at the time of their birth, I can’t remember exactly where from but if you search hopefully it will pop up.

Roselilly36 · 20/12/2021 06:33

Phase even 😂

MoonGift · 20/12/2021 06:36

These are all such great ideas. Some of never thought of..!
I'm googling every one of them. Thank you so much!

That's lovely. I'm just having a look on there now. They really are beautiful. Thank you.

A telescope

MoonGift · 20/12/2021 06:52

@nannybeach
I did actually get her a really great telescope a few years back and she hasn't really used it. I didn't realise how big and heavy it would be. She only used it once I think on a trip to wales! Think we need to get that out again!

@Nillynally
I'm just having a look at Yasmin Bolands site. It looks really good. Thank you! 🙂

I would have to Google it but you can order a pendant that shows the phase of the moon on a special date such as your birthdate.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 20/12/2021 06:56

Not on the high street do it. You give them the date and they make it.

nannybeach · 20/12/2021 08:07

MoonGift,ah right my DD has a small NASA telescope. I don't know where you are in the country,what about visit to one of the big telescope sites. Obviously you would have to check the phases,you want a nice "full" or red. We are lucky,we live near Herstmonceux in East Sussex,there is a glamping site near there, maybe make a nice "experience"

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/12/2021 08:38

Adult or child?
Waterstones sell a tiny moon lamp for about a fiver iirc.

Yes that’s right, that’s were I bought it from.
mynameismaybe · 20/12/2021 12:21

Not moon exactly, but you can get the gifts where you name a star for someone. I got one many years ago and I still love it.

I would recommend searching on Etsy for moon-related items; you'll find lots of lovely hand made gift ideas that may be a bit more unique.

fantasmasgoria1 · 20/12/2021 15:00

A factual/scientific book about the moon?

thenumberseven · 20/12/2021 15:56

www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Timing-Living-Harmony-Natural-ebook/dp/B08WPW5Y71/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&crid=1KFIABUVXKZ2B&keywords=The+power+of+timing&sprefix=the+power+of+timing%2Cstripbooks%2C167&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1640014240&sr=1-1

This book , I lost it and bought again.
Last one I bought the Lunar calendar at the back goes to 2026 but it won't then become obsolete at all as everything in the book is unamovable, the calendar for each year is just for convenience as the moon cycles for each year are available every where.
There's other books on the subject by these authors but these one is better, more in-depth
I also have on kindle by same authors The Power of Timing
