What is your favourite Boxing Day game?

We're having my child's about to be in-laws for Boxing Day evening and we always traditionally play a dumb game together. Dc has said no to Ibble Dibble so what are your favourite games to play that don't involve leaving burned cork marks on your face?!

What on Earth is the game that leaves burned cork marks on your face? 😂

Articulate was always the go to game in my family at Christmas! Always a laugh, especially when my slightly wandered grandmother's turn came around Grin

Charades is a good one.

Or the game where you stick a piece of paper on your forehead and have to guess whose name is written on it

We're big fans of monopoly in this house

Strawberry shoe lace race: competitors put one end of a strawberry shoelace between their lips and then put their hands behind their back. Somebody else shouts go and all competitors race to get the shoelace into their mouth without using their hands.

After Eight Race: similar to the shoelace race but start with an After Eight on forehead and it's the first player to get it in the mouth.

Balloon shaving: Give everyone a balloon and marker pen. They now have two minutes to draw a face on their balloon, and then apply shaving cream over it. Then give everyone a plastic knife for their razor. On ‘Go’, players now shave their balloon – only without popping it. The first person to do that is the winner.

The good old chocolate game.... sit in circle, take turns to roll a dice, if you roll a 6 you put on hat, scarf and gloves and use knife and fork to eat individual chunks from a choc bar on a plate until next person rolls a 6.

Dice game. Wrap up a few cheap silly presents, but include one that’s a bit nicer …. roll two dice and every time someone gets a double they take a present and unwrap it. When all the presents are unwrapped you can ‘steal’ somebody else’s when you get a double … put a timer on for this last bit. It got quite frantic when we played this last year with everyone trying to get the scratch card Grin

Came to say the burnt cork game 😂

Freeze a large bowl of flour 48 hours before…turn it out onto a plate when you’re ready to play and place a chocolate on top…everyone stands round in a circle and throws a dice. If you throw a 6, you have to cut a slice off the block of flour. S/he who makes the choc fall off must retrieve it from the flour mess with their mouth, hands behind their back.
