Tuna. Not tuna mayo, just tuna not too squeezed out, on thick granary style bloomer bread and plenty of good butter.

Cheese and coleslaw

Mine too.

BLOT with mayo on thick white bread or Tuna crunch ( with mayo and grated cheese) on seeded wholemeal.
I love them both equally. If I'm buying from a shop I always get prawn mayo as I never have them at home.

Chicken pesto mayo: Mix some pesto with mayonnaise and spread it on both slices of bread, insert chicken and lettuce.

Brie, chorizo and chilli jam.

Recently had a brie and cranberry baguette with pistachios from pret. Thought the idea of pistachios was a bit weird but oh my, it took that sandwich to another level!

Grated cheese (must be grated), ham, ready salted crisps.

I love sandwiches and bread in general and this has just reminded me how much I love marmite toasties.....

Couldn't possibly just choose one but atm I'm thinking part baked baguette, with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy snd bread sauce.

I shouldn't be reading this, as I'm pregnant, stuck under my sleeping toddler and insatiably hungry and wanting to immediately run out to the shops and buy supplies to make every single one of these buttys!

There's a place near me that does something called a Scuttlebutt sandwich and it's absolutely heavenly. Similar to this:

Beef space raiders, white bread and butter.

Although if we're talking toasted sandwiches, I'd go with tuna, cheese and red onion. Or maybe corned beef, cheese and brown sauce.

I love sandwiches. This is a tough one

Cheese

Five counties cheese gives it a bit of variety.

Very rarely have any other but will eat cheese and tomato, jam or jam and peanut butter, or peanut butter, or marmite.

I am intolerant to pork and any seafood. So no go with fillings of that sort.

Ham, cheese and Branston pickle, on buttered soft white bread.

Turkey avocado and emmental. In an unsalted Pretzel! With mildly mustardy & lemon Mayo. tesco used to do it and I yearn for it 😩

I will make a special trip to the supermarket, get a warm roast chicken and fresh bakery bread. Butter the bread, smear of English mustard, slices of warm chicken, and a little salt. Heaven!

The teenagers love “the big sandwich”. Bagette, buttered. English mustard on the bottom slice, Mayo on the top slice. Fill with roast beef, Swiss cheese, turkey, cheddar, ham, tomato, and lettuce.

I love leftover season!

For a cold sandwich filling: drained tuna with added olive oil and vinegar ( seasoned rice vinegar is the best here).

Warm: leftover meatloaf and gravy or fried egg and bacon.

BLT

Strong cheddar cheese and sliced pickled beetroot, any bread!

We were in Australia a few years back and their salad sandwiches that you could buy from cafes etc were perfection. Shredded iceberg lettuce; shredded carrot; cucumber; raw onion and pickled beetroot. Sometimes with a pineapple ring and a slice of cheese or ham. On white bread.

Plus really creamy egg mayonnaise with shredded iceberg lettuce.

Toasted: Naice ham, mozzarella, tomato, red onion, salt & pepper with loads of butter on the outside to make it crispy.

Fresh: Roast chicken, baby spinach, grated carrot, tomato, cucumber, beetroot, chopped jalapeños with ranch dressing and salt & pepper. Best on a fresh Parmesan and cracked pepper baguette from our local bakery
