Slim Depth Washing Machine?

Our washing machine has broken today with perfect timing. I need to get a new washing machine. I could just buy the same one, but it has only lasted 4 and a half years and is apparently not worth repairing (spoke on phone to appliance repairman).
Can anyone recommend a washing machine either slim depth or integrated that will last? I don't really care about anything else like programmes, or even price, I just want something that will fit and will last for ages.
Before this one, our very cheap washing machine lasted for 15 years so it is a bit of shock to read lots of people online talking about some machines only lasting 4-5 years.
Thanks.

I'd buy the same again. 4.5 years with a busy family is unfortunately par for the course these days.

Bloody hell, that is depressing.

But it shouldn't be par for the course. Talk about a throwaway economy!

My hotpoint has been servicing a busy family for 12 years and is still fine. It's my 3rd hotpoint.

I looked to buy the same machine and everywhere is out of stock with one site saying the model is being discontinued. So I cant even buy the same one. So back at the beginning. I hate this, I just want something that works.

Did there not use to be a seconds auction site for new products that perhaps had a ding in the side panel or something?

Perhaps you could find it on one of them if you google the model?

Disappointing they don’t last. I just bought one. Hope it lasts as I don’t have spare cash every few years to keep replacing.

I swear the build in obsolescence these days to keep their companies in a job.

Thanks but I need it to be easy. So someone who will deliver, connect it and take old one away.
I think I am going to buy a Bosch. I hope it lasts a bit longer.

Have you been on AO.com? They have shallow depth ones.

aliceca · 19/12/2021 20:44

Thanks yes I have. I guess I was just trying to find something that would last a bit longer. I am thinking of getting a nef one as they are supposed to be high quality. Just need to measure and check.

Last time i got one I went on Which magazine’s site. Used my friends membership. Was happy with the result.

AO are really good, great customer service and tracking updates on delivery through the day so mine was pinpointed down to half an hour by lunchtime of my delivery afterwards.
I wanted an indesit ad my previous cheap model handled 12 years of hard use. Cloth nappies, dog towels, big sofa covers. It was out of stock so customer service guy recommended a similar Candy model which so far has been very good.
