Please can anyone help me regarding my foundation

Follow an early thread about No 7 changing their formulations...

I have been using No 7 stay perfect foundation, shade : calico.
This has so far ticked all the boxes for me, price, coverage and most importantly, the shade.

I have very pale skin with a cool undertone and found calico to be the best match, however, since No 7 changed I no longer find it matches my skin.

Can you recommend a medium coverage foundation in the £15 or under price range. I would go into the shop but since Covid, the testers seem to have been removed.

I used to use the No7 stay perfect range but was put off by the hundreds of negative reviews online re the changes when I looked to re-order.
I found the same one I used to use (original and therefore better 😁) on eBay. Might be worth a look?

Loreal 24h fresh wear foundation. Ivory is a close match to calico in no7 (I'm qualified in make-up) and have tried both in them exact shades but you might want to swatch them to make sure. Hope it helps

Try Findation.com.

You type in what foundation/ shade you wear and it will find you the closest match in other brands. It also tells you how close the match is.

I've used it just this week and on arrival, the new foundation is an excellent shade for me.

What sort of coverage is it?

I’m very pale, I use the L’Oréal infallible for the ‘good stuff’ going out/occasion full coverage foundation.

For day to day but still need coverage I use the maybelline fit me, I think this advertises itself as ‘buildable’ coverage but I find a little goes a long way and only use one thin layer and buff out with a foundation brush rather than use a sponge like I would with the full coverage.

For my lazy days but still want to look fresh I use a tinted moisturiser or a BB cream - still yet to find one I love so I won’t recommend the ones I have

I'd say it's medium coverage personally.

I agree that findation.com is really good aswell.

I personally love EL Double wear or Mac studio fix. They are more pricey but because the coverage is better (especially with DW) a little goes a long way so I find myself buying less of it.

I had a thread on here recently and bought some "L'Oréal true match in cool ivory. It's great, medium coverage and stays all day.

I use collection foundation. They have some very pale shades, and I can use either shade 1 (rose porcelain) or shade 2 (porcelain) in their glow version. I do have to buy shade 1 online though

Thank you all so much, I will give your recommendations a try.
