Stupid phone. This is is literally my whole life approach to tidying. It's a gift I give myself that isn't just for Christmas.

Also “shove into the utility room”.

This is basically my mantra in December (& January, February etc…)

I would but DS 14 has decided to deep clean his room. There are bin bags EVERYWHERE.

This is how I approach cleaning most of the time. We have several horrific cupboards. DH has gone on some kind of mad sorting rampage this morning though thank god I’m still working and can just stay out of the way until it’s over

This is what I used to do, all the time.

I had 4 months this summer before moving to another country so we slimmed down everything. And I mean everything.

And doing a bit a day, it still took me a month to sort out the main cupboard in the dining room.

I shredded all the paperwork to pack out the glass and crockery, which did take some time.

The relief though when another shelf is empty. So good for the soul.

Yes!! I've found my people! Life is too short. I'll dust, Hoover and clean the bathroom this week. The rest can wait. Merry Christmas 🎅🏼 x

Oh god yes this is me. I do lose stuff by doing this which is so frustrating. I don't have time to sort all the stuff and put away or take to tip or charity so it's the only option

Story of my life! Although this week I have to "unstuff" some of the wardrobe in the spare room as my parents will no doubt want to hang clothes in it.

I can barely access the spare room for this very reason! Presents, wrapping paper, furniture that has to go elsewhere to accommodate the Christmas tree - you name it, it's all crammed into the spare room!

Yep! Place is a mess but will have a quick whip round on Thursday and shove stuff out of sight. No point with 2 dc on hols and will be a mess Christmas morning anyway.

Yep. And I can guarantee I'll have to pull it all out again because something I need for the day will have gone under it somewhere.

Oh yes! My husband is going to get a surprise because he has just announced he's going to decorate the utility room when he's off at christmas

Have just been shopping online for storage boxes - took 5 sites to find somewhere that had them in stock before January so clearly everyone else has had the same idea but sooner.

I'm scared to open the cupboard under the stairs haha

Oh God, you've just reminded me, I stuffed a few things somewhere yesterday and now can't for the life of me remember what or where, hmmmmm

Oh god yes. Except forget drawers. I have an entire room that stuff just gets shoved in!
