Panto trip

My dd(7) has been invited out to the panto on Tuesday with a friend. This the first time she has been invited out with a friend. I see her extended group of friends having loads of playdates and meet ups in previous school holidays and I am really glad she has been invited.
However our plan had been to try and semi isolate so we can have a normal Xmas with family. I am nervous about letting her go with the risk of catching covid versus not letting miss out on the normal life experiences she should be having at this age.
Should I let her go?

Oh god its a tough one but I think I would prioritise my childs socialising especially after all they have missed out on, and probably will again.

My DS has a party on Tuesday and I don't want to let him go but I will because he wants to and after struggling with friendships last year I can't say no.

I think this is the way I am leaning. I am not actually too worried about them getting covid in general it is just the isolating and Xmas day which is the issue.
Her sister has had lots of nasty virus type illnesses since school started back and it just feels like on or other of them is poorly. A break from all that would be nice!

I would, loads of people are cancelling trips like that so the theater will probably be half empty anyway.
