I can't stand it when people touch my forearms

Anyone else the same? I physically flinch if anyone, even DH, touches my forearms. Why is that?

They are quite sensitive aren’t they..

BiscuitLover3678 · 18/12/2021 20:26

But it's so sensual!

I misread and thought you said firearms.

@JovialNickname

I misread and thought you said firearms.

Grin those too obviously.

My SIL likes to hold onto my forearms when she's pouring out her latest woes. I've taken to keeping my arms behind my back when I'm with her.

Not forearms but clavicles. I can't stand them... Mine or other people. When I'm at work and there is a suspected fractured collar bone I flinch inside as I have to touch it!!

It's a bit intense if someone holds on to your arms when they're telling you something. A sensual touch by the right person is lovely but a prolonged grab is a bit much.

Knee for me but I feel your pain. I have a lot of scar tissue on one leg and can't cope with it being touched.

Tigger85 · 18/12/2021 23:20

I used to despise having my wrists touched, it made me feel physically ill and gave me strong urges to physically lash out (never did lash out). Then I broke one and so it was repeatedly touched by doctors and nurses. I eventually had surgery on it to put a metal screw in it because it wouldn't heal. I still dislike my wrists being touched but no longer get the urge to punch whoever touches me there in the face.
