Theatre cancelled, what are our rights?

We had theatre tickets for last night - they were bought months ago.

It was cancelled by the theatre due to covid amongst the cast. We've been given a voucher but it can only be used for the same show. The show only runs until 1st January and because of Christmas commitments and child care issues, we can't go to the remaining showings. What are our rights? I've tried googling but I'm getting nothing.

We were in a similar situation last month, the theatre said we could rebook and when I sent an email explaining that wasn't possible, they refunded me within the hour.

I think a voucher for any show at that theatre would be fair.

I would just speak to the theatre - maybe a voucher for that theatre to be used in the next 12 months would be fair?

Thanks, Did you email the theatre directly or the ticket seller?

And yes, we'd be happy with a generic ticket voucher for the theatre, the issue is it's currently show specific.

The theatre but I had booked the tickets directly with them.
