Not all. This maybe problematic for some but in my opinion if you have not booked or are actively planning a wedding then you’re not really engaged.

Of course you can be engaged without actively being in the process of planning a wedding.

It's a extra level of commitment, we can't all (and shouldn't ) rush into living together never mind getting married, we have children and jobs to consider.
