Can you give me some suggestions on meeting a man?!

Bit of background - 9 years single (toxic relationship and I have been affected by it )

3 children between 10 and 16.
I’m 36. Children have no contact with their dad so it’s only me at home (so not like I can spend hours doing something). I’m also self employed so I don’t see anyone on a day to day basis.

I hate online dating, the small talk, the text talk, the pictures sent 😳. So I think I need a hobby to meet someone.

I love gardening, I play netball, I enjoy jogging (I’m very overweight though!) love reading although haven’t had the time to read in years!

I’m finally ready but I wonder where I would ever meet anyone!

Does anyone have any suggestions?!

Thank you!

I've read on here that parkrun is sociable. Or a gym or walking group? Whereabouts do you live i.e. city or countryside?

Thank you poetrypatty, you have reminded me that I was going to look into park run!

I live in London if that helps.
Looking at park run now.

How about Meetup website. Or something going on at the British library if you like books. There are lots of talks in London too, maybe something like that?

Local running club
Kayaking and sailing seem to have a lot of male participation
Meet up groups - there are tons of different interests - maybe even gardening meet up groups?
Go to a pub quiz with a friend and ask if you can join another (mixed) team?

Volunteering? Just make sure your joining something with a social side.

Short courses. Not necessarily academic or work related, though if they take your interest why not? But also things like a one day curry making course and dinner after. Learn to sail for a week. Spend a weekend learning to dry stone wall. (Obviously pick things you’d actually enjoy).

There are social mixed sex netball leagues in London. How about them?
