Different pregnancy symptoms / cravings between pregnancies

Just for fun, no scientific basis of course

With my DD I really craved tropical and soft fruits, cold meat like pastrami and hot dogs and tropical / orange squash. I was exhausted and had bad headaches.

I’m pregnant again and craving salty foods, apples and ice lollies. Not exhausted like before but have a horrible low level nausea, like car sickness.

Wondering if this is a sign it’s a boy this time!

Would love to hear your symptoms / cravings between pregnancies, particularly for different sexes

First pregnancy - boy - craved citrus fruit and anything made from potato.

Second pregnancy - girl - craved anything fizzy but was a lot more sick all the way through so had very little appetite.

First - boy. Horrendous sickness and vomiting, didn’t crave much except beer, spicy hummus and curry from 20 weeks. Total aversion to chocolate magnums.

Second - boy but was convinced I was having a girl. Low level nausea, only wanted to eat beige and salty food. The strangest aversion to Tupperware (you read that correctly. Tupperware) 🧐

Both my pregnancies were completely different but had a boy both times.

2 boys - aversion to strongly flavoured foods like curry. Craved tomato ketchup and chips first pregnancy and watermelon the second pregnancy. Enjoyed salty foods

Girl - everything sweet (and I much prefer savoury to sweet generally). Even sweets like marshmallows and boiled sweets which I normally avoid. Aversion to savoury meals I normally enjoy. The old wives tales seemed to hold true for me. Also a lot more nausea with a girl too.

First, girl. Only ate cheese, cereal and fruit for first 3 months but generally fine other than that, no exhaustion after 3 months. Sick twice in whole pregnancy.

Second, boy. Hyperemesis. Pretty much only ate melon (!) for 25 weeks. Massive coffee aversion all the way through. Felt utterly horrendous and knackered from start to finish.

Anecdotally seems that a lot of people hade it harder second time regardless of sex

First pregnancy I craved milk, chocolate, biscuits and cake.

Second pregnancy I could barely keep anything down, but did crave salty l, crunchy crisps (Hula hoops were my fave) and ice cold Coke.

DC1 - boy
DC2 - girl

I had the aversion to Tupperware too! And cling film, zips, coins, and the thought of the inside of my handbag where little bits of fluff and crumbs collect was enough to almost make me vomit on the spot

Ds1 - horrendously sick. Could only manage kid food like chicken nuggets, potato waffles etc. He is a massively fussy eater and his diet isn’t far off what I was eating when pregnant 😂 do occasionally wonder if it’s because of what I ate when pregnant or if he was making me crave it!

Ds2 - was very sick again but could eat and craved spicy food, jalapeños, vegetables. Went quite off sweet food which is unlike me. He eats everything and likes strong flavours. Does not like sweet things at all.

DD1 - unbelievable sickness. Have managed to eat dry toast and Coca Cola for the best part of 20 weeks. No cravings, just aversions to pretty much every single food in the world!
