Farmdrop has gone into administration (Christmas orders cancelled)

I am thanking my lucky stars that I had forgotten to cancel the turkey and beef I ordered from Ocado. Ever since the year Waitrose lost my Christmas pre-order, I've ordered from 2 suppliers and then frozen the second order for our NYE party but that won't be happening this year thanks to omicron so I meant to cancel my Ocado order...

I first heard about them on MN and was so happy to be able to buy in season food straight from the farm - so much fresher, so much tastier, and no unecessary airmiles. I will miss being able to buy British strawberries in season that taste like my childhood memories...

I hope nobody here has lost any money or had their Christmas ruined by something other than omicron. I imagine the knock on effect for some of the small suppliers they worked with will be devastating

I'm sorry to hear it, but I looked at their website after a friend recommended them a while ago, and I was shocked at the prices. I know food is "too cheap " in the UK, but most of us do have limited budgets.

Yes I have lost the Christmas order to be delivered today. It was ordered on 1/12/21 but they took payment yesterday - when they must have known they were going into administration. It was goose and smoked salmon mostly. But my bank I think will pursue the matter. A few messages on Twitter about it. No goose anywhere now that I can find online and don't want to throw more good money after bad.

H G Walter had both goose and delivery slots yesterday, @tara66. It's showing limited availability now, no idea about delivery though. They are excellent butchers.

My bank have told me I have to contact the administrators but I have no idea who they are. Does anyone know?

I don't think it has been announced yet, @Kaw12345. Farmdrop are advising people to request a chargeback.
