Disappearing mole on hip? Hip pain now..

Iv had a mole on my hip for as long as I can remember. During lockdown it started becoming really sore and bleeding. I rang the doctors and was told to send in a picture. They said it was a type of mole and was harmless but I could have it removed in the future.

A week or so ago my hip started hurting and it hurts to lay on the side. Feels like when you lay on something uncomfortable? I had a look and noticed the “mole” has gone? It’s still sore, when I touch it and abit numb but I think that’s from my c section.

Any ideas what it could be? I feel stupid going doctors for a disappearing mole 😂

I read it as, you have a mole that has changed. Disappearing = change, right?
Therefore, I would get it checked out.

Does it look swollen on that first pic or is that my eyes?
I had a mole drop off that I'd had all my life. It was quite large as well. One day it was gone and no sign that it was ever there. I did mention it to the Dr and he said well it's gone now... This is over 20 years ago.

There is a mole called hallo mole that then disappears. I've seen it happen to someone. Could be similar? Always get it checked out though.

I had a small flat mole on my wrist that disappeared one day. I told my friend who is a gp and she laughed and said moles don't just disappear you must never have had one there (we were v drunk to be fair to her)
Turned out to be the very start of vitiligo and yes many more moles have disappeared.

But with hip pain as well I'd get checked out by your GP
