Would you go to the Cinema with what's happening in London with Omicron??

Loosing my grip with all the bad news that's around right now!!

Part of me says Yes and the other part says Noooooo.

What would you do?

Confused

I'm going Friday so yeah although I'm not in London but it's to see spider man so plenty of people will be there

GetTheStartyParted · 16/12/2021 21:23

I went to the cinema to watch Spiderman last night. It was very busy.

I think you have to decide what you are comfortable with and not worry what others do.

GetTheStartyParted · 16/12/2021 21:24

Sorry, also not London.

KirkstallAbbess · 16/12/2021 21:26

I've been to the cinema twice this week, both times were busy and full of atmosphere. Only you can decide for you.

HangingOutWithTheSandman · 16/12/2021 21:28

This conversation is happening in my house right now. Partner and kids are booked for Spiderman tomorrow but aren’t sure whether to go. Partner has not yet had booster, one child with one vaccine, one without any. I think it’s an unnecessary risk but I’m leaving it to them to decide. Hoping they decide not to go but kids have been so looking forward to this film.

SparkleWhale · 16/12/2021 21:33

I'm going Saturday to see Spider-Man with DH and the kids. We're not in London and every time we've been since reopening it has been very controlled and masked have been enforced etc. Looking forward to a little normality.

MarcelineMissouri · 16/12/2021 21:33

I am biased because dh works for a cinema chain but that also means that I know that cinemas are actually very well ventilated with fresh air rather than recirculating air.

But I love going to the cinema anyway and always have. I am going to watch 2 Christmas films over the weekend and need to go and see spider man asap as well.

itsnowornever · 16/12/2021 21:55

Thanks all

Especially good to hear about the ventilation!

I'm going to go for it 🍿🍿.

Yes I’d go

MarcelineMissouri · 16/12/2021 21:58

Enjoy your film @itsnowornever!

TeeBee · 16/12/2021 22:10

I wouldn't but only because I couldn't sit for two hours with a mask on.

mum2jakie · 16/12/2021 22:11

Not in London but we're going to see Spiderman on Saturday. Boys would be absolutely gutted if we didn't go. Missed out on far too much over the past couple of years. Enjoy!

mum2jakie · 18/12/2021 20:56

It was great. Cinema busy but still plenty of space between different groups. Everyone wore masks going in but nobody really wore them during the film itself. Felt self and spaces out and the film was good too. Make sure you wait until the very very end of all the credits as there two post film shorts/trailers afterwards.
