My dad had a brother born and died before he (my dad) was born. This brother had no father on his birth certificate and all my gran ever said was that the father was in the army but would pay maintenance.
The boy died young, before marrying and having kids.
We'd be keen to know who his father was and if he had any other family. I've done my family tree and DNA but obviously if he's dead with no kids, that isn't an option to us.
Is there any other way we can find out who his father was - we have no name, no address, nothing. Late gran was very secretive.
