I saw the show in London last night and very much enjoyed it.
The chorus included several beautiful young men, often stripped to the waist in skimpy trunks (set on the beach). I have to admit it was a treat.
The female equivalents were, unusually, modestly dressed, even to the extent of frumpy (for comedic effect?)
Are they making a point? Is it just entertainment and they know who the show's main audience is? Is it right to "exploit" men in this way whilst moving away from doing it to women?
Or am I overthinking and it's all a bit of fun whether it's men or women?
