Hot tub next to our lounge

New neighbours appear to be building a hot tub a metre away from our lounge windows. Their garden wraps around, there is a fence and then our lounge right next to the fence. It's going to be awful.

How do you drain hot tubs as we are slightly lower too? So their garden is slightly higher than ours and our lounge.

On your side of the fence install an external strobe light and music speaker.
Each evening they insist on causing you grief, play Garth Brooks on repeat and switch on lights.

Any structure may require planning but the hot tub doesn't. They are not necessarily noisy, all depends how many French it's used and the users. We had a rented one once and it wasn't noisy

I'm trying to imagine what 'French' is a typo for. Ew. Grin

Sympathies OP. I would be extremely upset in your place.

@MaryHingey yes apparently as long they don’t drill it in. Shakes the wall when it’s on.

It’s supposed to say ‘times’.

MaryHingey · 16/12/2021 14:46

sorry, I'm still confused
How exactly have they attached it?

Rollercoaster1920 · 16/12/2021 14:50

They will be allowed to build an outbuilding up to 2.5 metres high. The planning portal shows what can and cannot be built.

MynameisWa · 16/12/2021 18:26

They must have considered you OP and thought about what a nuisance it could be. So maybe they are almost expecting a chat. If not, then they are selfish beyond reach. Do you know what sort of ppl they are? # Family members etc.
