When did you tell your employer you were pregnant?

Pregnant at the moment and wondering when to tell them.

I've been picking up every illness under the sun, although I was off for a few weeks with an illness I just couldn't shake, they can't understand why I'm still sick and what's going on with me.

The nausea has been bloody awful too and I'm either in the bathroom trying to get through it or too nauseous to eat or drink for fear of being sick.

As soon as I started throwing up round the clock at seven weeks; I wanted the protection of them knowing so I could take sick days without worrying.

I'm expecting that to kick in over Christmas!

Round about the 3 month mark. Gosh, I remember the nausea well, all day everyday. Couldn't even brush my teeth without gagging. Was awful, I feel for you OP. Can you get some anti-sickness tablets from your gp? I was prescribed them when I was pregnant and it took the edge off a bit

I told my manager straight away, due to the pandemic. I was very well looked after since I told him. Normally, I'd have waited until probably 12 weeks or so.

6 weeks. Puked on my bosses shoes.

Waited till about 17 weeks, still working from home though so much easier to get away with!

4.5 weeks, I work with dangerous bacteria though

About 5 weeks. I needed to come off the team teach rota. My boss was the second person to know after my husband with every pregnancy.
