Am I the only one up worrying?

Hi
Is anyone else awake and worrying? My 5 year old has woken up with a bit of tummy ache, been to the toilet and now asleep with my husband. I’m not panic stricken that they’ve got a bug, they’re going to be really ill etc 🙁
Worrying at night seems so much worse? Why are you awake?

I’m had a few good days so only stands to reason that I was due a rough night at some stage.

@SmallBoyFury Me too, I had a tonsillectomy on Tuesday, woke up struggling with breathing and pain. Hope you've got some good painkillers?

Sorry to hear your little one is poorly, hopefully it’s something and nothing and over before it’s really got a hold.

I’m awake because one of my 2 year old twins woke for a feed 2+ hours ago and I find it next to impossible to go back to sleep once they’ve woken me up.

I’m also worrying a bit about the fact we have to move house in 7 weeks time (landlord is selling the house we live in and served us notice) and there is nothing coming up in our price range without moving 20-30 miles away in a semi rural county with poor transport links, being much further away from DH family who we moved to the area to be near, and moving down a bedroom to stay in an affordable rent bracket. Today we have a homelessness assessment by the council and I’m worried (with no basis at this point in time) that they will tell us they have no duty to ensure we don’t end up homeless and that we’ll be advised that they will only help us once bailiffs are on the doorstep to evict us (which would also generate costs to both us and our lovely landlord who has no choice but to sell and was genuinely upset to be asking us to leave).

We had this a few years ago. Luckily the council rehoused us before it got to bailiffs . Obviously depends on area though so fingers crossed for you

I'm awake as the dc flew to Ireland to spend Christmas with their dad yesterday. I hate it when they are away

I've got Covid and can't sleep for coughing. DH finds out tomorrow if he's being made redundant. Fuzzy head but worn out with worrying. This year has just been one thing after another.

I just can't sleep . Wish there was a magic bag that I could scoop up all your worries and let you all rest !

I think I might get up and do done work as it's obvious I'll not sleep now. Maybe some doing some of my accounting will bore me into sleep !

My daughter was fine but just very tired because ‘Daddy kept making weird noises!’ I’m just used to the snoring, heavy breathing!
I’m going to try and relax before bed tonight, feeling the pressure we’re under due to colleagues being off with Covid to be overwhelming.

I think we all wish we could take each other’s worries away then there would be someone to take ours away for us!!

I hope today is a better day for you and you get a good night’s rest and we don’t have a reunion tonight/in the wee small hours of tomorrow morning!!
