I'll start: Sticking the knife in the toaster to pull out a stuck slice. I haven't died yet Xmas Grin

OP posts:
80sMum · 15/12/2021 19:08

Put my feet up on the furniture.

Scarby9 · 15/12/2021 19:09

Not my parents, but my grandma:
Go out in the dark.

Topseyt · 15/12/2021 19:11

@Sadmac

I hear all of your pleas - just to say though that I'm very careful not to touch the actual toaster. I just stick the knife in the bread!

Another one for me is putting my elbows on the table.

I always put my elbows on the table. I think it is OK so long as you are not leaning far in so that you are turning your back on the person next to you.
robinwoo · 15/12/2021 19:16

Use more than one sheet of loo roll
Wear dangly earrings
Wash my hair more than once a week
Dye my hair
Pluck my eyebrows

SenecaFallsRedux · 15/12/2021 19:19

Let the dog sleep on the bed. Many dogs later, I still have one who sleeps on the bed.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/12/2021 19:20

Eat with my elbows on the table, for sure.
Mainly when I'm using an iPad at the same time as eating - Dm might have prohibited that too had they existed at the time.Grin

Plantstrees · 15/12/2021 19:52

Read at the table
Eat while watching TV
Eat in the street
Go out with wet hair
Have long hair beyond childhood - adults with long hair look like witches - I probably do but don't care

lliitttlepiinkhouse · 15/12/2021 20:01

@SilverHairedCat

Lick my knife. Eat leftovers for breakfast. Sit with my knees tucked under my butt on the sofa.

But I always reverse park in - ex cop, I am hard wired to prepare for an emergency exit at all times Grin

How do you tuck your knees under your butt? I can't picture it.
timestheyarechanging · 15/12/2021 20:14

Put new shoes on a table 🤷🏻‍♀️

NadjaofAntipaxos · 15/12/2021 21:43

Show off
Be greedy

TurquoiseDragon · 15/12/2021 21:53

@Scarby9

Not my parents, but my grandma: Go out in the dark.
How did she cope in winter?
TurquoiseDragon · 15/12/2021 21:59

Mine are:

Wearing dangly earrings - my mum hated anything to do with ears, and I had a real job getting mine pierced in the first placed.
Tattoos - have several

Thatsplentyjack · 15/12/2021 22:01

Sit with my knees tucked under my butt on the sofa.

Confused how do you do that?

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 15/12/2021 22:43

Leave lights on
Leave things plugged in and on
Have long hair over the age of 40
Not wearing make up when I go out
Wearing the same clothes for going out that I do in the house.

MondeoFan · 15/12/2021 22:54

Putting Xmas lights outside (my dad - I'm not paying to light up the whole bloody street)

Eating cereal at night

Washing my hair more than once a week

Going out with wet hair

Reheating food

ALongHardWinter · 15/12/2021 23:13

Go to bed late.
Get up late.
Save wrapping paper from presents to re-use.
Go out with wet hair.
Read while I'm eating.

AndTime · 15/12/2021 23:24

Necking on the doorstep.

I love giving DP a good old smooch and watch him drive off when I am WFH.

deathofastrawberry · 15/12/2021 23:26

Having the tv on in the background whilst on the computer or reading.. 'can't do it all at once!' I was told 😄

Also eating my advent calendar chocolate before breakfast

DoncasterHombre · 15/12/2021 23:27

I wear tattered, filthy, disgraceful pants (boxer shorts) every day when I leave the house in an act of defiance.

ditalini · 15/12/2021 23:33

Let my children say "what?"

My mum would have Nancy Mitford spinning in her grave.

HelloCovid · 15/12/2021 23:53

How do you tuck your knees under your butt?
I can't picture it.
I think she meant her heels, or is extremely flexible! Shock

SequinnedShawl · 16/12/2021 00:19

@SilverHairedCat
Sit with my knees tucked under my butt on the sofa.

How do you sit with your knees under your butt? Hmm

TonyThreePies · 16/12/2021 00:21

Put my hands in my pockets. It's so comforting!

Ohdofuckoffcovid · 16/12/2021 00:23

Swear

LoveFall · 16/12/2021 00:35

Stay in a hotel. My Mom was quite sheltered and she was sure I would get bed bugs. There was no reassuring her.
