What's one thing your parents used to tell you not to do, that you actively do in adulthood?

I'll start: Sticking the knife in the toaster to pull out a stuck slice. I haven't died yet

I hear all of your pleas - just to say though that I'm very careful not to touch the actual toaster. I just stick the knife in the bread!

Another one for me is putting my elbows on the table.

I always put my elbows on the table. I think it is OK so long as you are not leaning far in so that you are turning your back on the person next to you.

Use more than one sheet of loo roll
Wear dangly earrings
Wash my hair more than once a week
Dye my hair
Pluck my eyebrows

Let the dog sleep on the bed. Many dogs later, I still have one who sleeps on the bed.

Eat with my elbows on the table, for sure.
Mainly when I'm using an iPad at the same time as eating - Dm might have prohibited that too had they existed at the time.

Read at the table
Eat while watching TV
Eat in the street
Go out with wet hair
Have long hair beyond childhood - adults with long hair look like witches - I probably do but don't care

But I always reverse park in - ex cop, I am hard wired to prepare for an emergency exit at all times

How do you tuck your knees under your butt? I can't picture it.

Mine are:

Wearing dangly earrings - my mum hated anything to do with ears, and I had a real job getting mine pierced in the first placed.
Tattoos - have several

Leave lights on
Leave things plugged in and on
Have long hair over the age of 40
Not wearing make up when I go out
Wearing the same clothes for going out that I do in the house.

Putting Xmas lights outside (my dad - I'm not paying to light up the whole bloody street)

Eating cereal at night

Washing my hair more than once a week

Going out with wet hair

Reheating food

Go to bed late.
Get up late.
Save wrapping paper from presents to re-use.
Go out with wet hair.
Read while I'm eating.

Necking on the doorstep.

I love giving DP a good old smooch and watch him drive off when I am WFH.

Having the tv on in the background whilst on the computer or reading.. 'can't do it all at once!' I was told 😄

I wear tattered, filthy, disgraceful pants (boxer shorts) every day when I leave the house in an act of defiance.
