Where do you buy your babies clothes from?

Hi I'm struggling to find clothes that I like for my baby boy. He's almost 6 months. I don't like tracksuit type clothing or Disney /dude/cute/monster splashed across it. Any ideas? I like next but have bought all the dungarees sets that I like. Thanks

Depends on your budget and style. My experience is of buying for boys too. For vests (and actually all clothes), supermarkets are fine - I find Sainsbury's are the best for baby and kids’ clothes. They do some really lovely bits, lots of which look much more expensive than they are.

For sleepsuits and outfits, we have had lovely ones from Next, John Lewis and JojoMamanBebe. I also like H&M - they’re good for basics and for longer, slimmer babies. Jojo do lovely dungarees but they’re not cheap. Look out for their sales.

Marks and Spencer have some really nice bits too, especially if you want less obviously gendered clothes. They do nice patterned joggers and jumpers/tops which you can mix and match and are often on 3 for 2 deals. And their socks are brilliant as they stitch the size inside the ankle band (sorry, I forget what you call it but the point is you can tell what size they are really easily!).

Mostly Petit Bateau, John Lewis, Gap

@MyCatHatesWhiskas thank you will have a look at these shops you suggested. To add budget wise I would be happy to spend £40 on an every day out fit and a bit more for fancy??
I normally get his vests from Tesco as I feel they wash well.

Supermarkets, H&M and the odd thing from M&S

JojobaFromOctober · 15/12/2021 10:16

Lindex is my favourite. Depends what kind of thing you like and how much you want to spend.

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 15/12/2021 10:16

Sainsbury's, Tesco, H&M, M&S, Vertbaudet, Next

TakeMeToYourLiar · 15/12/2021 10:16

For your budget Frugi

PinkPlantCase · 15/12/2021 10:19

M&S, Next and bundles from eBay. EBay has been really good.

Boden also has some lovely things.

Shmithecat2 · 15/12/2021 10:23

At 6 months, ds was just in sleep suits, rompers or bodysuits with leggings. John Lewis, Next, H&M, 2 Little Legs were my go tos.

Camomila · 15/12/2021 10:24

Mine is nearly 2 now but H&M, Asda, Sainsburies, M&S, and Matalan.

manysummersago · 15/12/2021 10:25

I’m not keen on most supermarket clothes for boys either but Morrisons and Sainsburys are quite nice. Mori is quite costly but nice.

girlmom21 · 15/12/2021 10:26

Don't waste your time on M&S. Their kids clothes wash like crap.

You've got a decent budget but honestly, try Primark. For the price their stuffs decent and they've massively expanded their ranges.

Caspianberg · 15/12/2021 10:34

H and m - basics
Zara - knitwear, leggings, dungarees
Jojo maman - leggings
Alex and Alexa - online, various brands. I like Kuling from here for winter stuff in particular

LadyCluck · 15/12/2021 10:35

Next and sainsburys are favourites here.

MindyStClaire · 15/12/2021 10:38

99% of what our kids wear is from Next and Marks because they're the shops in our local shopping centre and easy to order online.

Kids are still young, so really I just want comfortable and washable, and not plastered in pink princessy/unicorn type shite.

Petit Bateau has a huge sale atm. They come up slim, so look at the measurements and maybe buy a size above. I've got loads of little bits there. Love Baby Mori also, again I buy it when they have a sale as it is pricy.

Tk Maxx often have good baby bits online which are great quality (organic cotton etc) for really cheap

BarbaraLoganPrice · 15/12/2021 10:41

Go to charity shops. They'll have all these brands so a variety of styles and it means you're not wasting money on new clothes that will only last a few months at the most.

peoniesandpastels · 15/12/2021 10:43

Zara, Next, Jojo Maman Bebe, Joules, Mori.

bluesky45 · 15/12/2021 11:11

Next mainly. Kidly do nice plain coloured basics that are amazing quality and a bit nicer than most basics. I also buy lots of rompers or dungarees from handmade shops on Instagram. Try minky and max, Zack and ivy, lovebee baby, bear and babe. There's tons of others too.

NeurologicallySpeaking · 15/12/2021 11:37

I would go for Frugi, Kite, Polarn O Pyret and Maxomorra for some brands where you won't see everyone wearing the same thing.

M&S & Jojo Maman bebe.

bubblebath62636 · 15/12/2021 11:46

Anything that's organic cotton, so Tesco and Next mainly. Also Primark have a few nice bits.

Dogsandbabies · 15/12/2021 11:50

For me it's a combination of Frugi, Vertbaudet, jojobebemaman, Zara and (my absolute favourite) Newbie.
