Am I weird to hang air freshener in my closet

I bought a three pack of air fresheners for the car, and then changed my mind on what scent I wanted. I bought a new set, and brought the first ones up to the house.

They were in my coat pocket, and I forgot all about it. I wear lots of different coats, so hadn't used that one in a few weeks.
Today I got it out, and wear it, and it smells so good! Not strong at all, just cosy, like a faint whiff of it if you really inhale deep.

Now I'm thinking about the different ones I could pack into my summer clothes.
Is this weird/something I'll regret?

We did it all the time in the 80s with pomanders or lavender bags. It seemed to die out after that but it’s a very normal thing to do.

I use Diptyque ovals in my wardrobe and it makes my clothes smell lovely! So if you’ve found something that works, why not? I imagine the scent may have faded with time so I’d probably experiment first before putting in a sealed bag with summer clothes, incase it’s too intense?

Do the ovals work @Inmypjsagainas I was looking to invest in some?

I can only get the washing powder that I like (allergies) from the really big Tesco's. We all store a few boxes of it in our wardrobes which keeps everything with that 'freshly laundered' smell.

VeganVampire · 14/12/2021 23:57

I missed out saying that I buy a dozen boxes at a time!

Do it! I’ve hung organza bags with lenor unstoppables In the wardrobe, car, drawers etc and smells amazing

@Ewan83 yes they work imo, they’re subtle though, I have one at each end and in the middle and my wardrobe just smells nice now. I mainly got them because I found during lockdown my clothes smelled a bit musty as they weren’t being worn as much and this keeps them fresh. I use baies, really think it’s lovely!

Well that settles it, I'm not crazy (at least in relation to this) and now I want to make pomanders!
I sense a little project coming on : )
