Work really getting to me

Hi, I work for a call centre and we have been extremely busy for months. And it's really getting to me, there 3 years and applying for jobs, waiting to hear back from 3 applications at the minute. Mortgage on my own so has to also be full time & stable. But the stress is really getting to me, I feel sick, sad and stressed all week unless I get to see my family and friends or get a day off work. Just want to enjoy the Christmas season without being constantly upset and hoping for at least an interview for the new applications. What are everyone's best tips for work stress management?

Morning, OP! We're just bumping this for you, hoping someone is around with some advice this morning. Hope things get easier for you at work soon. Flowers

I'm sorry your going through a stressful time OP, I also have a mortgage on my own and understand the stress behind it but look at you.. you are living independently and holding down a mortgage you should be proud!

For me I try and plan my weeks, work out what time I've got when and do something for me weather that be a gym class or organise an evening with a friend for dinner!

FaceTime is also a wonderful thing.. I FaceTime a lot of my friends of an evening if I haven't the time to get to see them but have an hour and have a good old catch up!

What kind of jobs are you applying for?
Keep applying, don't hold your breath for any one of them. If you do, you will be disappointed. Just apply until you get interviews. 3 is not enough.
Don't stress, you'll make yourself ill.
The right job will come your way.
Do some online courses to gain new skills and occupy your mind.
