Can anyone recommend a cheap record player for Christmas present

For DD, so looking in the £50 price range, but there are about one thousand on Amazon like that and I have no idea which one is any good.

So please tell me your good and bad experiences so I can get something good or at least avoid a turkey!

I got an Ion Audio Air for my birthday and I love it. At £100ish, a bit more than you’re after (though can often find them refurbished on eBay for around £70.

Have you tried Groupon or Wowcher? Then read online reviews to see if the record players on there are any good?

Make sure it has built in speakers (rubbish) Bluetooth speakers (marginally less rubbish) or stand alone speakers (by far the best but likely to need some sort of pre-amp as well)

Also (depending on your audience) you must never refer to it as a record player, but a turntable. Records are also to be described as vinyl.
