Do certain words have a feeling to them?

I realise this is a super weird question and I'll try to explain it.

When I hear or even read certain words they make me feel something. Usually pleasant but sometimes not. It's not to do with the meaning of the word, more with how they sound.

Like plum or bread gives me a sort of cosy feeling. Bumblebee gives me the same sort of feeling a hug might. Dandelion gives me a little shiver like when you dip your toes in to water to see how cold it is. Stilton makes me feel like when I try not to cough, very unpleasant. Cube is like touching/squashing a small lump of playdough or blutack.

Anyone else get this?

All words do, I think

There is a name for when you feel words very strongly

Yes! Not quite the same but very similar is the bouba/kiki effect. It's fascinating Smile.

@Motheroftigers

Moist.

That one doesn't really make me feel anything though it does seem to bother a lot of people!

One word I do find thoroughly unpleasant is supple.

I dislike the feeling of stroppy, distressed, and, yes, moist.

Sums is fabulous. Cluster brings me out in a cold sweat. And moist can get in the bin.
