Just how tall does an amaryllis plant get!?

My dad bought me this bulb. I've never had one before but, from pics on google, I wasn't expecting it to get to 2 feet tall!

At this rate, I'll need ladders to see the flower

Looks about as tall as our one gets. You won’t need a ladder to see the flowers, they are massive! Ours is about 5 years old and flowers every year

Oh good! I'm sure dd1 is sick of me asking if it looks like it's grown

I'll have to look up what to do with it - I had a quick google but only really glanced at the results.
