Advice on how to reintroduce child contact with father after 2 years?

Anyone been through this at family court.

If abuse involved and child not seen dad in 2 years what timescale do you think would be good to reintroduce contact?

So like start with video calls etc then onto contact centre?

It’s been at court for so long and I need to give an idea of what I’d like going forward and not sure what’s the norm.

My dc's contact started with a dad's group, so 1 hour a week which was assessed, this went on for several months, after this a contact centre for about 3 months, progressed to taking to activities, swimming, soft play, cinema this went on for about 4 months, then home contact which then progressed to overnight, one night at a time, progressed to eow for a short time, however went back to one night on dc request. Contact pattern did not continue in a completely progressive way, I had to reign it back at times. I also had childcare in place as a back up for contact as ex was unreliable. Contact was court mandated just at beginning after that I was responsible to ensure it was safe. I'm glad contact happened even though it was a headache at times. Contact stopped after about 7 years, due to exe's behaviour and he died a few months after contact stopped ( not contact related).

No video calls, went to a dad's group which was supervised and assessed, so very much like a toddler group, dc was used to being in nursery so managed well.The social worker did transport, was high tariff child protection. Actually just remembered, contact prior to dad's group was a period of about 6 weeks, 1 hour a week supervised by social work ( not dc social work as assessed needed to be a man to supervise).
