Anyone else feeling horrendous?

I have a really splitting head ache, achy bones, sore throat.. have tested 3 days in a row & its still negative 🤧

Have you done a pcr or lateral flow?

Pcr is what you need. Antigen test will only show a positive result on your most infectious day

Get a PCR if you haven’t yet.

Yes! Had a headache for 5 days straight, dry cough, fever, achy bones, nausea, lack of appetite, upset tummy...did a pcr yesterday...negative. I couldn't believe it. Really expected it to be positive. Especially given I have primary school and nursery age children and covid is rife at both.

@Hawkinsfirefly99 I have those exact same symptoms. I have done 3 LFT all negative and am waiting for a PCR.

Had done one a few days before symptoms routinely and one last night as was starting to feel off. Then one this morning feeling horrendous. I'm guessing that one of those days I MUST have been infectious?!

Same here , been ill for a week . I've had covid three months ago and this is a close second in feeling so rubbish

Me! I'm feeling dreadful, sore throat, banging headache, knackered, throwing up and am negative on an LFT.

It's horrible, and I've got a ton of stuff to be doing, and no desire to do it.

God me too. Negative LFTs but 2 weeks later I'm still shattered and struggling to feel healthy. The only saving grace is Christmas is almost 2 weeks away so hoping to feel much better for the main event.

My husband and youngest son have been really poorly for 2weeks + my husband never misses work he’s a workaholic, I’ve never known him to stay in bed all day. He’s lost just under 2stone looks awful has all the symptoms you have described but it’s not COVID after test upon test coming back negative,I think there’s some nasty bugs about at the moment.

I had 8 negative LFTs all while I was positive.

Only anecdotal but DH was talking to a colleague in South Africa this morning who's had Omicron. The whole family (immediate and extended) has had it and couldn't once get a positive LFT despite doing several - they did get positive pcr in the end.

Pcr coming today.
Have just done 4th lat flo & still negative.
My friends meanwhile are dropping like flies.
I'm still feeling terrible. Been in bed for 2 days. I never do this! 😷

Those of you with these symptoms should all be doing PCRs!!!!
Though if you are feeling this unwell then hopefully you are basically isolating anyway. Still good to be able to give possible contacts the right info anyway.

Apparently Covid is more common than a cold in parts of the country now:

"Professor Tim Spector, who helped found the Zoe symptom-tracking app, has said Covid cases in London are accelerating more than was seen during the very first wave of the virus.

He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the "majority of symptoms" of the Omicron variant are like a common cold, including headaches, a sore throat, runny nose, fatigue and sneezing.

He said: "In London, where Covid is increasing rapidly, it's far more likely to be Covid than it is to be a cold."

I've had the same since Saturday. worst headache of my life, right behind the eyes, which lasted 2 days. Then on the 2nd day the fever started and kept rising above 40c for another 2 days. Had to take paracetemol every 5 hours and I'm pregnant. I'm still in bed now and have a wet cough now. PCR negative. No idea what it is, must be viral as I had blood tests done and no signs of infection.

Same. Had a PCR yesterday which was negative.
