Xmas Eve in London with toddler!

We live in London and our Xmas Eve usually includes seeing the matinee of A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic which is a magical thing to do on Xmas Eve and really gets me feeling Christmassy!

However, this year will be the first year with a toddler (and not in lockdown - at least we hope not, as yet 🙏🙏).

What on earth do families with toddlers do on Xmas Eve in London? Would like to go into the centre of town during the day before coming home to watch the Snowman!

Does anyone have any ideas please? Thank you!

London zoo is lovely at this time of year, we normally do a Pre Christmas trip there.

Thanks Daisy. It's a good idea but we are ZSL members so we have been quite a lot and would ideally like something we haven't done, - something that's particularly festive!

How about a bus tour to see the lights?

Tate modern & walk seeing lights?

We took our 5 year old to Superblue at the Royal Academy at the weekend. It is only 15-20 minutes, but we all loved it, and my dd woukd have enjoyed it as a toddler too. Maybe see if either the Unicorn or Polka theatres have something on? Museum Mum on Instagram always has fabulous suggestions.

There are tickets available for the snowman on Xmas eve - it’s at the Peacock Theatre. I took dd years ago , it’s totally geared up for little ones who can’t/won’t keep still or quiet so not a stressful experience with a toddler!
