Ticket master: Leeds Festival

I've bought 8 tickets for the Leeds Festival on Ticketmaster. I bought 4 with my Barclaycard the day before general release - these are for my dd and her friends as it's end of GCSE year. My DS then asked if I could get 4 for him and his friends (obviously they'll reimburse me) so the next day I queued up online for the general release and bought 4 more. So I've now got a total of 8 on my Ticketmaster account. I knew there would be a ticket limit but I'd assumed that it would block you from purchasing more than the allowed amount if you'd gone over so I thought 8 would be fine. I've since read that they have a limit of 4 per household. Obviously if I'd known this I'd have got one of DS s friends' parents to get the tickets.

It's saying on Ticketmaster that I " have" the tickets but they're not ready yet. I'm now worried that they will cancel the excess tickets just before the event and I don't know what to say to the kids. Also might they cancel all 8 tickets?! I'm so worried because they're really excited and all the tickets have sold out now!!

Has anyone had any experience of this happening with Ticketmaster at all? There's no number I can call them on.

It would be very unfair if they cancel them last minute as I've bought them on my credit card and don't feel I can ask the other kids' families for money as I don't know if there's any tickets available. So I'll be paying interest on something that I might not even get...

Anyone know much about TM and how they operate?

I would suspect that because they are separate bookings they should be ok. But I’m not sure - do they have a live chat or email enquiry form you can ask?

OldWivesTale · 13/12/2021 13:52

I can't see one but there must be one there somewhere. Yes, I thought that as I'd bought them in 2 goes it would be fine but then it does say 4 tickets per household / credit card.

They have an email address somewhere. I’ve had a look in my sent items but can’t find it. They was really helpful with an issue I had.

0333 321 9999 or tweet them?

OldWivesTale · 13/12/2021 19:59

OK thanks, that's reassuring. I'll have another look then.

I've tried that number and it's no longer in use. There's no email address it's just a standard set of replies if you try to contact them. It's so frustrating and I don't understand how they can provide a service when it's impossible to interact with anyone. I'm so worries that I'm going to end up with no tickets and my dd and her friends are so excited 😒 it says that they cam cancel all your tickets if you try to order more than the limit...

Anyone out there with any ticketmaster experience. I'm really stressed about it and can't believe there's no way to contact anyone at Ticketmaster.

If you contact them through your account they reply pretty quickly usually. I contacted them recently about a gig which had been cancelled and they replied the next day.

TangledUp789 · 21/12/2021 21:52

They have an active Twitter account for customer service enquiries. It’s @TicketmasterCS - have you tried that?

RichardMarxisinnocent · 21/12/2021 22:01

No personal experience, but I know that earlier this year Ticketmaster cancelled a fair few Wimbledon tickets which breached ticket limits. They were bought in separate transactions but using the same credit or debit card.

OldWivesTale · 22/12/2021 00:16

I contacted them through my account but just got an automated reply which didn't really answer the query.

I'm not exactly au fait with Twitter but I'll have a look at that option, thanks.

Yes, my fear is that they may cancel all of the tickets including my original 4.

I have also contacted them via email at [email protected] and they were very helpful. You may get an automated response initially but then a human being deals with you. I don't think they will cancel your tickets BTW as they were separate orders but no harm in checking!
