My pan is ruined from DH using metal masher in it.

Do you transfer your potatoes to something else? Or use a silicone masher?

Just curious.

Non stick pan (as all ours are) and a plastic masher.

@ShirleyPhallus

I use frozen mash which is honestly way better than any fresh mash I’ve ever made, takes minutes and no gloopy masher to wash up
I agree. I used to use the Iceland brand until they changed the recipe, now I use M&S, which is amazing.

And am I the only one thinking of the Smash advert "then they smash them all to pieces GrinGringrin]?

lucie82 · 14/12/2021 12:44

I shove mine through a metal sieve

Hen2018 · 14/12/2021 12:49

The saucepan. The masher isn’t metal.

In the (metal) pan. Masher is metal. I also have a ricer but I don’t use it very often because it seems much more hassle.
