Anyone order from Hobbycraft?

Placed an order on the 5th (Sunday), had an email saying despatched Wed morning (8th) but so far the tracking link still says Hermes are “expecting my parcel” and nothing seems to have moved. Website does say “delivery within 5 working days”.

Obviously things are busier at this time of year but anyone have experience of their delivery times normally? I ordered in a rush and didn’t even think to check for Next Day Del option 🙈🤣 could really do with it for tomorrow!

Hi, can't remember exactly but not long, about 4 days, ish, I think. Hope you get it soon, I love getting my craft parcelsSmile

@shadypines Thanks 😊 hopefully won’t be too much longer. Usually I just go to the shop but the nearest is at least an hour from me in good traffic and I’m not planning on being up that way anytime soon so thought I’d save the hassle and just order 🙄🤣 Hopefully it won’t be long 🤞🏼

Being completely nosey, what goodies are coming your way?Grin

@shadypines 🤣🤣 you’re my kind of person - I’d be wanting to know too 🤣 not a huge order - I have a 1 year old and saw their plain ceramic tree decorations that you can paint and thought it would be a nice idea to start a tradition of him painting a bauble, marking it with the year and varnishing it then adding them to our tree 😊 then I have a felt Christmas tree wall hanging with Velcro baubles for him to decorate and a lovely wooden advent and some paint etc that I thought I could work on for him and start next year 😊

I used to work in HobbyCraft Customer Services. Give them a call, they'll try and locate the parcel but if they can't they'll resend it out for you on a next day service. They're really good. Probably best to call them sooner rather than later, things go out of stock very quickly at this time of year.
To be honest, the parcel should have had some movement by now so I would expect it's been 'Lost in Transit'.

What lovely ideas! Crossing my fingers for you that it soon turns up. I have been waiting much longer than normal for a parcel, due to Black Friday, just a busy time I guess, esp with people ordering much more online.

It's likely to be a problem with Hermes rather than Hobbycraft I think.

Local Hermes drivers around here have said they are 48 hours behind as Hermes aren't giving them the parcels until late, and Hermes systems are sending 'attempted delivery' and 'delivered' messages out when the parcel is still in transit to the delivery driver... I know our delivery driver is working huge numbers of hours trying to catch up and is advising customers to add 48 hours into when they expected delivery of their items.

@WhatInFreshHell Thanks so much for that!! Just gave them a quick call and they were great - resending my whole order next day del, refunded delivery charge and just to keep the other parcel when it eventually arrives! Great customer service 😊

@shadypines Thanks 😊 Definitely - I’ve just been to my local post office and the queue was worse than I’ve ever seen it before at this time of year too! It’s certainly a especially busy time for couriers and posties this year 😳
