Bras - where am I going wrong?

Hi all, can anyone give me some advice on where I'm going wrong with measuring for a bra please. First time doing this and getting a proper bra ( worn cheap sports bras for years ) I've searched online, following the instructions and comes out as 34B . Went and got a bra in the size Which feels ok while I'm still but as soon as I stretch or move certain ways it rides up my boobs slightly and if I slouch or cross my arms across my chest both cups have a big gap especially near the top.

Also where are you meant to measure?
I went under the boobs and then around the nipples.
Thanks for any help 😊

Can you go to an independent lingerie shop where they can advise on the best type of bra for your bust? As well as measuring you? I only wear one type of bra now as it fits perfectly and comfortably - I once tried the same bra but with a different shape cup and it just wasn’t right, so I just always now go for the exact same full cupped bra.

Best to try a few styles in the correct size, I've several that fit well standing but if I bend over I have spillage. Same size different style are comfy all day

I recommend boob or bust as well. It gave me a completely different size to what I had been wearing for years, thought no way can this be the right, tried it and it fits perfectly! So much more comfortable then my old size!

Did you add four to the underband measurement? If so try again again with out (probably a 30E?) it might sound small but it wall make all the difference

I've tried to find an ideal size and bra fit abs style over the past year using boob or bust (they are the main advocates of not adding 4) and its really hard. Some of the same size are really huge and others really stretchy.

Also what is your dress size as 34 is about a size 14, 32 size 12, 30 size 10 (very broadly) but it's a good rule of thumb. I'm a 34 F and a size 16.
