I heard of her death this evening and immediately remembered being in an English classroom in year 8 and someone had left behind one of her books, so I stole it and read it.
I think the cover was black with orange writing and maybe an eye? Maybe not..
Definitely wasn’t about vampires or anything like that, I remember it being about a girl who was rather strange and off school a lot? Maybe grew up on a farm? Actually maybe it was written from the girl’s friend’s perspective.
I also remember it probably being a bit old for me, and finding it quite weird.
All I have to work off unfortunately!
