Veganuary

So, in the unlikely event that we are allowed to host parties/social gatherings come January, I will be hosting a dinner for around about 15-20. I had planned my menu and shared it with my sister who has come back with the suggestion that I need a vegan option because ‘there are bound to be guests doing veganuary’. Just to make it clear, under normal circumstances none of the guests are vegan.

Im not sure if she is right or not. I’m already doing a meat dish, veggie dish, gluten-free and nut free and could do without having to do another option. I could switch the veggie option for a vegan one but I really want to do this particular dish as it’s the birthday girls favourite.

Personally, if i were doing veganuary I would let it slip for one meal at event, but not sure if others feel the same.

Any opinions?

I did it and wouldn’t let it slip for one event. I did however just eat chips at a party because I didn’t need to be difficult.

Could the GF/NF dish also be vegan?
Does the meat dish have gluten and nuts in it anyway?

Seems to me you are already going to extreme lengths to pander accomodate preferences.
The part time vegans can surely pick out enough to eat.

Sorry not sure if my OP was clear I was only doing two ‘main’ dishes. A meat one and a veggie one +sides. I would prefer the entire menu to be nut free (severe allergies). My meat dish is pretty traditional to suit the older guests who I know have fairly conservative palates!

You could ask the guests?
