Has anybody bought a Christmas tree from Argos 🎄?

If so, how is it packaged? For instance, if it’s a 6 foot tree, is the box 6 feet tall, or is it in smaller sections? With a handle?

I will be getting the tube so it would be helpful to know. Thanks.

It will be in bits so smaller than 6ft box. They do normally come in just a box without a handle and normally if you're buying a semi decent one are bloody heavy

We've got a 6 foot slim one. Just measured the box and it's 8 inches x 8 inches and 3 feet long.

(Sainsburys sell exactly the same "home" branded ones too)

@MogHog I'm not buying a decent one, just the cheapest bit of tat they've got in Argos . I am ordinarily so eco-conscious, but getting the tree is important to DD after a horrific year, so I'm putting my principles aside for now.

Bear in mind that it could be heavier than you'd think, so check the weight, which should be listed on the webpage for the item. Although it could be OK, if you're getting a small cheap flimsy one .

They do always have the box size/weight on the product details.

Mine has a handle on the box. As others have said, it's split into 3 sections so the box is shorter than the tree. Mine is a 6ft tree but the box is about 4ft tall.

It's not particularly heavy but quite cumbersome.

I've had mine for 20 years and it still looks as good as new.

Have you got a sainsburys with a collection desk nearer?

I actually don't think I will be able to get one . Our local Argos is sold out, apart from a silly parasol one, which isn't really a Christmas tree.

Can you get it delivered. 3.95 I think. Do it from other branches too.

So I ordered one earlier online through Argos. In my excitement I failed to consider how a 7 foot tree would fit in our tiny apartment . It’s not the height as much as the width: it is nearly 6 foot wide at the bottom branches.

I’m trying to persuade DD that a little tabletop one will do just as well.
