Mannequin ‘87

Had a long post about challenging stereotypes/surprise ‘80’s film aged well but…..

I have just laughed more, and for longer, and louder, and more ‘felt’ than I have in the longest, shittiest four years+ of my life recently.

So much so that having to watch it in 22 separate 4-5min videos on youtube didn’t even put me off.

Really admire Kim Cattrall since seeing her on ‘Who do you think you are?’ and loved seeing her in this.

Nothing much to add other than if you might have been worried about watching it again in case it aged badly and it might ruin good memories of it maybe find it & watch it.

I actually am surprising myself and going to watch it again ok, maybe just my favourite scenes

I feel old - my first date was going to see Mannequin at the cinema.

Oh I loved that film. Lovely Andrew McCarthy driving his motorbike with a shop dummy on the back. 😂

The car chase scene is “You Prevert!”
