What film or tv show gripped you from the minute it started? I need something to watch.

I dont want to faff around I have afew hours to kill before Strictly starts😃 its my only day off this week and I cleaned and cooked. I dont care if its a comedy or drama as long as it doesnt have a rubbish ending like everything Ive seen lately. I basically have most streaming serices plus normal tv. I dont even mind paying for a film. Thanks 😃

Others have suggested swedish/danish crime drame The Bridge / Broen which I think is excellent. I also enjoyed norwegian detective series Wisting though it did involve signing up for a free trial of some amazon linked channel.

I'm really enjoying Elementary on Amazon Prime.

It's a few years old now so it's more self contained episodic stories than current shows that run stories for several episodes.
As a huge Sherlock Holmes Canon fan, I thought I'd hate it, but it's actually pretty good.

I’m not sure if you can get it, it’s on US Netflix, it’s a few years old but I never hear it mentioned…How To Get Away With Murder. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.
