I dont want to faff around I have afew hours to kill before Strictly starts😃 its my only day off this week and I cleaned and cooked. I dont care if its a comedy or drama as long as it doesnt have a rubbish ending like everything Ive seen lately. I basically have most streaming serices plus normal tv. I dont even mind paying for a film. Thanks 😃

gojoroyco · 11/12/2021 17:20

@StopThisTrain22

Succession is amazing but agree you need to watch the first 3 or 4 to be hooked
Agree.

I watched the first episode, didn't get it at all. Left it.

Husband decided he wanted to watch it so I gave in, watched it again and have been completely hooked ever since.

I even follow fan groups on Facebook like an absolute saddo

SpindlesAdventWhirl · 11/12/2021 17:24

@grooveonthemove

Oh, The Fall is just amazing; almost like old skool Prime Suspect.
Thanks for the recommedations for this - just found it on BBC i-player for later when I can't ever sleep.
Heyduggeeeee · 11/12/2021 17:29

Only murders in the building. Its on star on disneyplus. Gripped me completely from the first episode. Most enjoyable thing I've watched in ages!!!

Maggiesgirl · 11/12/2021 17:33

Outlander
Lost in Space
Queens Gambit.

isthismylifenow · 11/12/2021 17:33

@TSSDNCOP

I'm getting tagged y Netflix to watch Unforgiven with Sandra Bullock.
I started watching this and couldn't get into it, the ADHD in me kicked in.

If you did see it and think it is OK maybe I'll give it another go.

RodneyIsDave · 11/12/2021 17:33

Joker with Joaquin Phoenix.. marvellous

StrawberrySanta · 11/12/2021 17:35

Valley of Tears on All4.

Strokethefurrywall · 11/12/2021 17:37

Ted Lasso
For Life

Two completely different but absolutely amazing shows!

HoseMeDownWithHolyWater · 11/12/2021 17:40

What is Succession on, please?

YourenutsmiLord · 11/12/2021 17:43

The Mare of Easttown v good

Blue4YOU · 11/12/2021 17:48

Succession definitely
Breaking Bad
The Queen’s Gambit
The Crown
Unbelievable- though warning- it’s a true story about police handling rape cases but a wonderful insightful show
War and Peace
Dark (it’s German so subtitles and very confusing)
The Killing - I watched the American version first but loved both equally (the Danish original)
Fortitude
Mare of Eastbridge
The Haunting of Hill House

Films that stayed with me in the past few years
The Witch
The Babadook (I love horror films)
Saint Maud (harrowing)
American Honey
The Red Road
Arrival
The Hurt Locker

Lorw · 11/12/2021 17:49

-This is us
-Dexter
-Outlander (oh my gosh I loved this so much!)
-Unforgotten
-Once upon a time (the first few series though, I love fantasy, but it got boring and shit with their shitty story lines)

Tbf there is quite a few but can’t think of everything off the top of my head 😂

Blue4YOU · 11/12/2021 17:49

East town even

ChocolateHelps · 11/12/2021 17:50

Fringe
Shield
Sex Education

Silversun83 · 11/12/2021 17:53

The Americans! Definitely!

It took me months to find another series to get obsessed about and it had me hooked within the first five minutes.

WhoWants2Know · 11/12/2021 17:59

Another vote for Shield on all 4

NoShitHemlock · 11/12/2021 17:59

A Discovery of Witches. I hadn't read any of the books, but by the time the 1st tv season was finished (only 6 episodes) I had bought and read all 3 books. And if you binge seasons 1 & 2 now then you will just be in time for the final season starting on 7th January! (Its on Sky, so available on Catch Up).

Also: Sweet Tooth on Netflix
Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+
And another vote for Mare of Eastown on Sky

Lsquiggles · 11/12/2021 18:09

The first season of the sinner on Netflix was amazing, instantly hooked!

TheVolturi · 11/12/2021 18:11

You,
Good girls,
Dead to me, all on Netflix.

TheVolturi · 11/12/2021 18:12

Also, Unbelievable.
