Can anyone recommend a restaurant close to Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage please?

What kind of food? You could either go into the town or the other direction to the leisure park.

If you walk over the railway bridge there is lots of restaurants in the Entertainment park. Prezzo, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Ask etc. Dotn park in the entertainment carpark and walk over to the theatre though as they’ll fine you as soon as the camera pick you up going over the bridge towards the theatre.

Don’t *

The old town is far nicer for restaurants there. I'd recommend Tarla, Sala Thong, Lavish, Misya or Golden Siam.

If you're arriving by train then it may be easier to eat on the Leisure Park right next to the station and theatre but these are all chain style restaurants. There is a Prezzo, Wagamamas, Five guys, TGI and loads more.

Thanks, we like all types of food, just not sure what I’m in the mood for!

@Impatientwino Golden Siam is Thai presumably? Is the old town walkable to the theatre?

We’re driving so will need to park somewhere.

Use the parking by the theatre Neat Tesco. It’s not too expensive!

@bendmeoverbackwards sorry just seen this. Yes it's a Thai restaurant as is Sala Thong and both are lovely.

Plenty of parking in the old town and I believe you get 3 hours - maybe more in the evening.

It would take approx 15 mins to walk to the theatre - long from golden Siam as that is the other end of the high street so add at least another 5 mins maybe more.

On the road behind the high street either side is a small payable car park if you need more than 3 hours (if that's applicable when you come)

We went to Golden Siam which was so lovely. Great food and the restaurant was spotlessly clean with a good atmosphere. Thanks for the recommendation @Impatientwino

We walked to the theatre which was fine, what a lovely high street with so many restaurants and pubs. Was really buzzing and it was nice to see people out enjoying themselves.

Bit of a nostalgia trip for me being back in Stevenage. I lived in Potters Bar as a teen and we used to get the train to Stevenage a lot for either bowling or ice skating. But we didn't go to the old town as it's away from the station.
