School mum has set her ringtone to Last Christmas.

So many of us lost whamageddon at pick up time yesterday afternoon while she chortled at her genius.

Dick move. That's not in the spirit of Whamageddon. You're supposed to lose naturally by accidentally hearing it playing in the supermarket or something.

Still, you did better than me - I only made it to 2nd December this year which is a personal worst! It's my housemate's fault though - I got home from work and he'd put Christmas tunes on the Alexa to make the house feel "festive" and before I could open my mouth to tell him I was still in the running for Whamageddon - bam! - first few bars of 'Last Christmas' started playing. He was mortified when I explained (after angrily throwing a teabag at him) 😂

Evil genius. Though I couldn't get het up about it tbh- my local radio station played it on the 27th November this year! Twice. It was literally the first Christmas song I'd heard this year and it wasn't even December.

The very first year I learned about whamageddon, and I lost pretty much as soon as I knew I was playing. First Christmas song of the year.

I've been listening to the Post Modern Jukebox version and they say cover versions don't count in Whamageddon so you're still in as far as I'm concerned.
