UTI and pooing loads

Sorry for the TMI, but I've recently started getting UTI's every few months. It's driving me mad, as I feel like I'm constantly on antibiotics.
They don't feel like previous uti's I've had though. No pain when actually weeing, but a burning sensation down below all the time and needing to poo ALL the time with loads of pressure in my bottom area (I've gone 7 times today)
Also some urgency to wee.
Dip stick tests come back positive for leukocytes so deffo a UTI.
What is this strange uti I keep getting and any tips to prevent?
I wear cotton underwear, shower daily, wipe front to back etc etc.

Leukocytes could just be contamination, especially if it’s not a totally clean capture. If it’s nitrite positive then it’s an infection. Are they sending a sample to culture in the lab to check what infection? and that you are actually being prescribed the correct antibiotics for the infection you have?

White blood cells in the urine may indicate inflammation of the kidneys or urinary tract due to bacterial infection. It is important to note, however, that contamination of the urine can also cause the presence of white blood cells in the urine, so remember to practice proper aseptic technique when giving the sample

The presence of nitrites in urine most commonly means there's a bacterial infection in your urinary tract. This is usually called a urinary tract infection (UTI). A UTI can happen anywhere in your urinary tract, including your bladder, ureters, kidneys, and urethra

Agree- I am not convinced this is a UTI. Have you had any other investigations? Have they sent off you urine for analysis?

The nitrites are negative when I test.
I can't get into my doctor, so the last 3 times I've used boots online service.
Although the antibiotics do help.
The leukocytes were 125 so came up as moderate on the 2 dip stick samples I did.
Maybe I need to get a proper doctors appointment.
Although actually when I did get an appointment over a year ago they prescribed antibiotics, but when the lab results came back they said they were negative.

Constantly taking antibiotics will wreak havoc on the bowels. Have you had the bowel symptoms from the first UTI or once you started on the Medication?

I'm surprised any online doctor will keep doling them out to be honest as they aren't supposed to. The short online courses are for uncomplex UTI. If they keep returning and you're symptomatic I really would make a GP appointment to discuss and make sure a proper sample is sent to the lab for cultures as soon as you feel there is infection drop one in.

I share similar symptoms and have interstitial cystitis, along with a bladder/bowel prolapse which gives that discomfort you describe when irritated but I think it's best dealt with by the GP. Sympathies OP, it's miserable.

Hi, how are you feeling now? I'm having similar symptoms but without the pressure to poop, I'm on my 3rd lot of antibiotics but the only dip stick I've had done was yesterday which was negative for everything besides protein but I'm told this can be normal in some people. But my symptoms are still persisting so now I'm not even sure it is a uti.
